Natalie Chua Debut Solo Single Release

Natalie Chua (17), one of the members of platinum selling, Simon Cowell choral project Angelis, is releasing her eagerly awaited debut solo single Angel at a special launch event at the Hilton Hotel, Stadium MK on Sunday December 12th 2010 from 2 pm til 6.

Natalie Chua has matured from child starlet into an outstanding solo recording artist and will be launching her solo career with a special live performance of her new single and songs from her forthcoming debut solo album.

Natalie, from Milton Keynes, is one of Simon Cowells real success stories. Her experiences with Syco music and the Angelis project provided her with a platform to pursue a career in music, something she always refers to in the positive of ways.

Following up on the groups chart topping success, Natalie has spent the last two years, developing her own style and music, culminating in the rock/classical crossover track Angel.

The single is an emotive ballad that combines Natalies unique and individual vocals with a soaring melodic rock soundtrack. Natalie has been writing and recording her new material throughout 2010, working with some of the UKs leading music producers including Guy Barnes and Frank Scaritto. The launch event will give her the opportunity to show her development from a young starlet into a credible solo recording artist who is determined to stake her own place in the music industry.

Natalie started her performance career at a very early age, winning a lead role in the King and I stage show that toured the UK at the age of 3. Shes crowned winner of the ABS CBN TV network talent beauty pageant and tens of thousands packed her concert tour of the Far East with her previous girl band. Natalie is the over all winner from among more than 5,000 entrants of the British Academy of Songwriters and Composers supported UK Songwriting Contest in 2004 and was awarded by former Pres Arroyo during her London visit for this achievement. She went on to win a scholarship at the world renowned stage school Sylvia Young in London where she excelled and eventually became deputy head girl. More than 75 trophies from her national and international song competition awards adorned her home and in 2006, she won through nationwide auditions a place in the chart topping group Angelis, a project put together by Simon Cowell for Syco/Sony music.

The group went onto sell over 390,000 copies (worth $7.5 million or .5 billion pesos) of their self titled album in just 6 weeks and gave Natalie her first taste of life in the spotlight. Since the project ended, Natalie has worked hard on developing herself as a solo artist whilst finishing her education. She continued performing at events in the UK and North America , building up a deserved reputation as one of the leading vocalists of her generation. As she matured, her own music tastes moved away from traditional classical songs to rock and pop.

This natural development lead to her experimenting with new genres and music styles, culminating in her discovering her own unique sound, which she brings to her new debut album and first single release.
The date of her first solo music release coincides with her 18th birthday. It is a special moment in her life and career, bringing to an end her time as a child starlet and ushering in her new style, music and maturity.

The single launch event is being attended by music and media personnel from all over the country who have followed Natalies career over the past five years. It is open to the public, with tickets available from Natalies record label website www.mkvibe.com.

The event is open to fans of all ages and will give people a unique opportunity to hear from Natalie herself about her experiences as a child star and the incredible journey she has enjoyed so far, as well as enjoy a live performance of her debut single and songs from her forthcoming solo album release scheduled for the Spring of 2011.
