First direct flight from Manila to London in more than a decade!

Today is an historic day for the Philippines and Filipino people.

At approx 02:00 UK time, a Philippine Airlines, Boeing 777 flight will take off from Ninoy Aquino International airport, bound for London, United Kingdom.

It will land at Heathrow airport at approx 14:50 on 4th November 2013, the first direct flight in more than a decade from Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. On board will be the president of Philippine Airlines, Ramon S Ang.

I am very pleased to have been granted an interview with Mr Ang for my YouTube documentary Proudly PINOY, in conjunction with Evian Cafun, Dean Justin Reeve and my website, Fil-Event.com

This direct routing from Manila to London will also be of great benefit to the Philippines and Filipino people as it will mean a quicker direct, non stop flight between the two countries thus increasing trade and tourism opportunities and an even stronger relationship between the United Kingdom and the Philippines.

I am sure this will also be a great relief to the estimated 250,000 Filipinos living in the United Kingdom as well as their families, that their flight times will be cut from the minimum of 14.5 hours with a change of plane, to just under 13 hours on the same plane. Mabuhay Philippine Airlines, to those on board, God speed and have a good flight, see you tomorrow afternoon in the Royal Suite at LHR Terminal 4
